Livonia Community Theatre (formerly Paul’s Players) was founded in 2011 by Patricia Hutchison, a retired music and drama teacher. In 2017, the group changed its name to Livonia Community Theater to reflect its commitment to the city of Livonia.
Livonia Community Theater is a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer a quality theater experience that will entertain, enrich, and educate people of all ages.
Livonia Community Theatre stages two plays during its season, one in the fall and one in early spring. Past productions include Steel Magnolias, The Odd Couple, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Almost Maine.
During the summer season we offer several opportunities for youth and families to participate in music and theater fun.
Broadway Bound is a popular musical theater camp for middle school students.
Kids Camp for elementary students stages a mini-musical and offers fun music activities like African Drumming. The annual summer musical workshop alternates between large musicals casting up to 50 people of all ages, and smaller musicals for high school and college students. Past productions of both include The Sound of Music, Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof, and Godspell.
Livonia Community Theatre is grateful to the people of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Livonia for housing our troupe. We are not affiliated with the church, and church membership is not required for participation in any LCT activity.
Although LCT loves our home city of Livonia, we welcome people from anywhere in the Metro Detroit area to join our productions.
